A New Theory of the Origin of Capitalism is a collection of articles related to the history and capitalism. It not only explores the connection between peasants and European capitalism and the relationship of European civilization and capitalism, but also studies the origin of capitalism by comparing China and the west. Based on the analysis framework of economicand social history, this volume especially concentrates on the factor of agriculture and peasants’ subjective rights during the process of the origin of capitalism.
